About Us/Mission Statement

The TCA is the largest community association in the City of Birmingham, Michigan, with approximately 1,200 households. We have an active Board of Directors along with Block Captains on almost every block. Their are a total of 22 community associations in the city of Birmingham. The TCA Board of Directors is responsible for keeping the membership informed of happenings in and around our neighborhood. This is accomplished by having our board members attend pertinent city meetings then report the results in our quarterly newsletter and on our website under “Hot Topics”.

The TCA board also informs the City of Birmingham of situations in need of attention in our neighborhood. We depend on our neighbors to inform a board member or block captain of these situations.

We currently have bi-annual meetings in April and October and welcome everyone who lives within our boundaries. These meeting are announced in our newsletter, on signs throughout the neighborhood (3 days in advance of the meeting), and on our website.

Annual Membership Dues are $15 or $10/Seniors.

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Torry Community Association is:

  • To preserve and improve the neighborhood
  • To represent the interests of the residents to elected and appointed officials of Birmingham
